In terms of other easy budgeting tools, some people have found quickenonline.com and mint.com useful, although the challenge is keeping the expense categorizations up to date.  I use it now and then but when I don&#039;t keep up with the expense categorizations, the reports are less useful.  

We are thinking about launching a New Parent Financial Kit to help parents take care of all the financial basics related to their child: New Parent Budget (compare to what your peers spend), Saving for College (how much, which 529 Plan, which investment option), getting life insurance (how much, which term-life, how to get it) and will and trust.  Would be interested in hearing from other parents whether this would be useful?</description>
